For me, being a feminist means that I not only hold up my sisters and myself to a higher standard, but it also means that in conjunction I hold up my brothers to a higher standard and expectation than from where they were once as well. Note that I expect more from them than that typical machismo, male-dominant, womanizing, misogynistic bullcrap. My reason for this is pretty simple. I’ve learned that with ALL people, I get what I expect. So, if I don’t expect much, I don’t get much. If I don’t open the door wide enough to let much in, not much gets in. So, I expect much.
