FORGOTTEN

We are like the trees
Whose roots we don’t see
Yet they’re there
And we need no proof
Intertwining
Digging deeper
Permeating layers
Cohabitating
Sharing resources
Communicating silently
The things that aren’t said
We only want to care for each other
But the roots have been forgotten
